BOOK SAMPLE: NOBLE PURSUITS OF LIGHT

A Luminous Collaboration: “Noble Pursuits of Light” Brightens the Art World with Dramatic Paintings, Reflective Poetry, and Essential Scenes from Mother Nature’s Wonderment London, UK - Fall 2025 -The British art world will bask in brilliance as celebrated fine artist, Mark Noble (Somerset, UK) unveils a premium art book collaboration entitled, Noble Pursuits of Light. This new book title, to be launched in 2026, pairs 21 of Noble’s radiant fine artworks painted onto recycled materials, with 21 original poems by American poetess, Alisha “Bee” Forrester Scott (Arizona, USA). While many of Noble’s paintings and prints are currently viewable online through his website marknoble.ART, this is Noble’s first art book featuring a curated retrospective from 2001 - 2025.

In Noble Pursuits of Light, Noble aptly defends his claim to being a “Painter of Light,” as he brings his signature luminosity to each canvas material. Forrester Scott’s poetry alongside each scene, offers literary reflections of human depth, wit, and influence of nature’s power. Noble and Forrester Scott created this book to offer inspiration and support to artists who may be excluded from the art world due to their health, disability, or social circumstances. Together, they also share an ever-important message that we are each responsible for protecting nature and her inhabitants, including the bees as pollinators of the food supply chain.

Inside Noble Pursuits of Light, you will find many “Turner-esk” scenes from the natural world, including sunrises, sunsets, seascapes, thunderstorms, and walking paths. Noble believes that by painting these types of scenes, he can share, “...raw, honest feelings and a window into our true nature.May the art inside these book pages open your soul to the possibilities beyond dreams.”

Several foreword contributions are included in the forthcoming book are from notable figures in arts, media, and business, including Mr. Mike Cobb-Pernak (founder at Creative Portal UK), Mrs. Syrie Johnson (writer and steward of Woodhill Park Estate), Mr. Jeff Sass (.art franchise), Mr. Mark Walmsley Mr. Mark Walmsley (Arts and Culture Network founder and expert marketer), and Mr. Cameron Spencer (expert musician and businessman).

Noble has been described as the 'Turner of the 21st Century’; taking inspiration from his most favorite painter, J.W. Turner (1775-1851). Turner lived during the period when Romanticism heavily influenced artworks and music. While Noble admits that he “always knew” his talent for painting was inside him, Noble’s path to professional art is very different from other artists.

Currently, Noble represents the disability and autism community with his work for organizations like Creative Portal,Outside In, and Children's World charity. In addition to being a working artist, Noble utilizes his platform with these organizations to speak up about his life and art experience. He also works to provide thoughtful art instruction to his community and people from all walks of life.

Noble’s father was a maritime veteran, serving as an officer in the Royal Marines. After some time traveling the world with his work, Noble’s father and mother settled in Portsmouth. They lived on the Solent Straight, which separates the Isle of Wight from the mainland of England. Noble’s first memories are of, “...sitting on the dining table in our living room, looking directly over the Solent, watching the storms roll over the channel, and the crashing wind and waves that made the windows shatter and shake. It was terrifying, but I loved it.”

However, Noble did not paint until later in his life. And as he approached age forty, Mark had already raised two children as a single father. He had worked in many different types of careers, including being a chef, funeral director, and even working in factories. Noble was displeased with his not having “...a single qualification to my name,” and he felt deep sadness. Noble also shared that, during his time as a funeral director, he had “...seen how fragile life is, and it drove me to better myself and seek education.”

Soon after enrolling and testing for his higher education journey, an advisor in his school helped Noble discover he was severely dyslexic and autistic. Then being aged in his forties, Noble was amazed at what a “revelation” his diagnoses were. With this information, Noble’s education advisor suggested he focus less on maths and science, and more on the arts. And with this shift, Noble’s future began to be clarified, and unfold more perfectly. Through this discovery of his artistic “side”, Noble finally understood how dyslexia and autism could unlock the door to his creativity.
As for Forrester Scott, she experienced complications from traumatic brain injury after an accident in 2017, with the arts, music and poetry being therapeutic tools aiding in her recovery. For this new work, Forrester Scott provided full design support, and is “...delighted and deeply honoured…” to work directly with Noble and his supportive team. Previously, Forrester Scott has presented her photographic artworks at Children’s Museum of Phoenix, has organized and participated in Arts-related events, has received multiple civic, entrepreneurship and innovation awards, has published in magazines, newspapers, and currently publishes books.

From a July 2025 article written by Heidi Writer UK, Noble has shared, “I knew many successful artists were like me, and I felt certain that this was what I was born to do. I continued to push myself to see what I could achieve, and after college, I secured a place at Bath Spa University and, a few years later, completed a degree in fine art. Since then, I’ve traveled around Europe, China, and exhibited some of my work in Japan, all the while learning about the art and culture around me. I see every day as an opportunity for me to grow as an artist and to build my reputation as a champion for other artists and those who are not traditionally welcomed into artistic spaces.”
While both artists draw from personal journeys with disability and difference, they hope to inspire others to champion inclusivity and environmental care. Intended for art lovers, poetry aficionados, or for anyone craving a pause for inspiration,

Noble Pursuits of Light is a delightful addition to any coffee table or creative reference bookshelf.
